This is so delightfully simple, you can enjoy it any time you fancy something warm and chocolatey. If I fancy a hot chocolate, I want the real deal. Gorgeous intense flavour and something that makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside. Only ‘real’ ingredients are going to cut it here. Great quality chocolate (70% cocoa solids), whole milk and waiter “please hold the horrid whipped cream”.

Hot chocolate :

For each cup, you will need :

1 small cup of whole milk
A pinch of ground cinnamon
5 squares of good dark chocolate (at least 70% cocoa solids)
1 teaspoon of caster sugar

Warm the whole milk and cinnamon in a saucepan over a medium heat. Once warm, place 5 square of good dark chocolate in the warmed milk as well as 1 teaspoon of caster sugar. Stir over heat until the chocolate has melted and the sugar has dissolved. Do watch the milk carefully to ensure it does not boil over.

Ladle the hot chocolate into the cups of those who wish to feel loved, warm and fuzzy. Enjoy!
