Ginger Turmeric Citrus Immunity Shots (Sunshine in a Glass)
If you’ve ever grabbed a small bottle of wellness shots from your local fruit shop or health store, you’ll know how quickly the cost adds up. The good news? These fiery, vitamin-rich immunity shots are so easy to make at home — fresh, affordable, and ready in minutes.
Made with ginger, turmeric, citrus, and a touch of cayenne, they’re the perfect way to start the day — bright, zesty, and full of life. I blend mine in my NutriBullet and the colour alone feels like sunshine in a glass.
Why Make Your Own Immunity Shots?
Homemade wellness shots taste fresher, cost less, and give you complete control over what goes in the mix. You can adjust the ginger for more punch, tone down the cayenne if you prefer less heat, or swap plain water for coconut water for natural sweetness.
Besides saving money, you also skip the preservatives and plastic packaging — a win for both your health and the planet.
Why This Combo Works
-
Ginger – adds warmth and zing while supporting digestion and circulation.
-
Turmeric – what a powerhouse turmeric is! It brings its bright hue and powerful anti-inflammatory compound, curcumin.
-
Citrus (orange and lemon) – rich in vitamin C and antioxidants for immune support.
-
Cayenne & black pepper – create gentle heat and help your body absorb curcumin more effectively.
-
Coconut water – optional, but adds a touch of natural sweetness, additional hydration and electrolytes.
It’s a powerful blend that not only wakes you up but feels like nourishment from the inside out.
