We will be utilising seasonal produce, plentiful spices, and herbs to create a delightful vegetarian feast in this Vegetarian Cooking Class. The focus on fresh, vibrant ingredients ensures that every dish bursts with flavor and nutrition, making this class as wholesome as it is delicious.

This is a beautifully nourishing class, designed to inspire both seasoned cooks and beginners alike. The menu will change according to the seasons, reflecting the freshest ingredients available at the time.

This class is a mix of demonstration as well as hands-on activities. There is no pressure, however, to go hands-on if you prefer to watch. Whether you decide to participate actively or prefer to observe and learn, this class caters to all comfort levels. The goal is to create a relaxed, enjoyable atmosphere where you can soak up the knowledge and flavours of Middle Eastern cooking.


After the cooking, you will be treated to an outstanding Middle Eastern Vegetarian feast with wine included. This is the perfect opportunity to sit back, relax, and savour the dishes you’ve just prepared, surrounded by fellow food enthusiasts. The combination of food and wine makes for a delightful culinary experience that you won’t soon forget.

On the menu in our Middle Eastern Cooking Class in the style of Ottolenghi

A guide to the menu (is subject to change and is also be led by the seasons):

  • Mum’s red lentil soup (bonus recipe to enjoy as class commences)
  • Hummus……….three ways (traditional, roasted beetroot & roasted carrot hummus)
  • Homemade Warm Pitta bread
  • Cos lettuce salad with herby green dressing
  • Warm carrot mash with brown butter & quick pickle chilli topping
  • Cauliflower cake
  • Spiced Freekah salad with roasted sweet potato and honeyed roasted nuts
  • Green chickpea falafels with herby yoghurt
  • Raw shaved broccoli salad with almonds and pomegranate
  • Middle Eastern inspired dessert

A Few Things to Note

Class duration is 3 hours.

 

This class is a mix of demonstration as well as hands-on activities. There is no pressure, however, to go hands-on if you prefer to watch.

This class will be held in Bayside Melbourne (Sandringham). Address will be provided to attendee’s a few days prior to the class date.
